I think my first blog ever might not have conveyed what my real thoughts were.
I had to have a jumping out point... it happened to land on the media and ARod. It's not really about ARod and his stupidity it's about the nonsense and ridiculousness of the media storm that surrounded the situation.
I suppose my real point was that with everything wrong in the world why are we worried about if someone took steroids or not? I mean seriously? If you really do care, good for you, but if you waste a whole day and converstation and brain power on such meger issues as this, I AM truely sad for you.
I've started this blog to get my thoughts out there and I suppose to get my thoughts together. I've always felt that I was here to do more... to help more... to accomplish more for the human race as a whole. But with the infiltration of meaningless mindnumbing thoughts that are thrown at us makes us (ok at least me) pull away from the reality of what we 'should' do.....
Does it really come down to WWJD???? Maybe so. What would he do, what should I do?
So that is why I say if you have a complaint maybe you should also have a lead on a solution for our issues/problems.
My leaning toward my solutions and what I can do for others, our country, our world and I have to actually verbalize my thoughts my feelings my passions.... That way maybe that light bulb really will turn on of what I'm really supposed to accomplish here.
How do I help the sick, hungry, poor.... Squash the insanity of the arrogance of the ME ME ME factor.
Is the answer found with the Beatles.... Is it all we really need??? "All We Need Is Love?"

The media storm, I can kinda understand. What I cannot fathom is congressional involvement is these matters. To the best of my knowledge, Major League Baseball (same as the NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLS, and whatever other professional sports organizations there are) receive no federal funding, and aren't subject to any specific sort of federal oversight.
ReplyDeleteSo, when I get Congress getting involved in steroid abuse in baseball, I scratch my head. I'd rather have federal elected officials questioning why financial firms which *are* subject to federal oversight for a number of good reasons, have allowed their employees to run amok and cause devastating financial problems to governments from the federal to the local level, to companies, and to individuals.
Bottom line is that some overpaid jackass using steroids to improve his home run count doesn't result in my family being at risk of not being able to afford food, housing, and utilities. Some jackass pulling off multi-billion dollar Ponzi schemes under the nose of several federal regulatory agencies *does*.
KDM summed up my thoughts exactly....saved me alot of typing. Lets forget about the military issues, border problems and any financial troubles - and focus on the real issues - steriod use. Good job up there in DC. (might want to use that political clout to source some steroids to increase brain power up there - I bet A-Rods cousins could hook yall up)
ReplyDeleteby the way....good job on the blog Mustang - I'll have fun with this !!!!!
