Seriously folks.... Racism

Ok there has been a huge lack of judgement from political people lately.. but what's new?

Holder... we are cowards for not being able to talk about racism in this country. WHAT???? if you are having to talk about race aren't you racist? If you have to talk about it cause you relly think there is a huge difference between people because of color ~~~ isn't that almost the definition of racism?

Even starting that thought with calling us a nation of cowards.. NICE JOB!!! Like that's not going to cause an upstir of emotions with people in general? You walk into a room and call a group of people cowards and see what happens? SERIOUSLY!!!!

Holder tells reporters ""If we're going to ever make progress, we're going to have to have the guts, we have to have the determination, to be honest with each other. It also means we have to be able to accept criticism where that is justified." ................. NEAT!!!! OK WTF does that mean exactly, who is going to make that determination of what is Justified or not? Do we need to go in front of a judge, a panel, call "The View".... let me know Mr. Attorney General so that when I see a disruption that arises from a 'converstion about differences' I can tell them where to go and ask if they questions/comments/converstation is justified.

OK>>>>>>>>> that dumb bunny at the NY Post that drew the cartoon of the shot chimp and the quotation of "now we have to find someone else to write the stimulus bill." Now there is a HUGE uproar of people saying it was plain racism toward Pres. Obama...... EXCUSE ME?????????? I have a question for you people... Did Barack WRITE the bill? NO... Is there a sign on the chimp indicating that it's is suppose to be the President.

The cartoon was based on the former day's news story of the woman being malled by her 'pet' chimp and the police having to shoot the chimp to stop it's rampage.

Ok no the cartoon probably wasn't in the best taste on any level... but racist????? Aren't we reaching here.... That's like reaching for the race card on "isn't that the pot calling the kettle black?"..... or even more along the lines of what we are talking about.... "my job is so easy a chimp could do it"

If we are a nation of cowards and racist then HOW did we get a Black President, how did Holder become the Attorney General.... and lastly....

IF we are going to say that the cartoon was a racist slam toward the president... then what are all these websites referring to:
http://www.bushorchimp.com/

http://deoxy.org/chimp?links=all

and how about the people that put the pictures together... Were they racist:

Who should picket here? GWB or Chimps?

  1. As with any team, the actions of individuals on the team are a reflection of the leadership existing within the team. When focus on productive goals is nonexistent, the result is attentions spent on meaningless events - such as an offensive cartoon or a claim of some sort of racial conspiracy - both of which intelligent and constructive minded people have outgrown long ago. To deep ?? read a cartoon.

  2. Oh, by the way, why does the 'dumb bunny' at NYTimes have to be a bunny ?? Why couldn't they have been a 'possum...or a skunk...or a mon---oh no, never mind.

  3. In truth there are only two groups we are allowed to truly make fun of with little or no media hoopla. It is too politically incorrect to make fun of anyones race, religion, or sexual preference these days. As well as it is PI to make fun of woman. All that is left are politicians and white men. Seriously, watch sitcoms and commercials, it is only white men who we are able to goof without anyone getting upset, them and usually politicians.

I grew up in a family of Polish people, and they would sit around telling pollock jokes for every get together. If more people could laugh at themselves and as you point out the insignificance of being over vigilant in this day and age of what may or not be racist or sincere and intentional disparaging of other people and their associations, such silly media would have to focus on things more substantial.

I reserve the right to disparage fanatical fundamentalism of any color tho :)
